About Drs. Jan Kooiman CMA | Solution lead

Jan Kooiman is currently the solution lead at Delaware Consulting for Financial Business Process Improvement and Reengineering. This group focusses on the End-to End Finance Processes – based on scientific frameworks. Coaching companies into performing, transforming and value creation journeys, training engaged and well trained resources and applying the latest digital technology. Jan holds a Master in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam and is a qualified transactional Six Sigma Black Belt and BKO-certified Instructor. He is adjunct Professor of Finance, Business and Accounting at Leiden University, teaching Corporate Finance and Management Accounting.

Prior to this, he worked for Peat Marwick Accountants (KPMG) in multiple functions across the world and was Financial Director and youngest Board member of Sony Europe. Jan believes in a strong focus on quality and in working towards personal excellence in both hard skills (knowledge) and soft skills (beliefs, creativity and integrity). He is frequently used as a sound-board for executives due his academic and professional expertise, relevant network and business insights.
