Jesus Gastelum | Team Lead Manufacturing

Jesus joined Kite as a Cell Therapy Specialist I in November 6th 2017 at TCF03 in El Segundo, CA. Jesus gained experience in manufacturing procedures as a member of both the production team and production support team. During his time at TCF03 Jesus played an important role in manufacturing of commercially launched treatments YESCARTA and TECARTUS.

Determined to continue working towards our mission to cure cancer, Jesus relocated to TCF04 in The Netherlands as a Cell Therapy Specialist III on June 7th 2020. Jesus has played a crucial role during the production of European commercial YESCARTA treatments by sharing his experience and knowledge as a Process Lead, mentoring staff, scheduling manufacturing activities and participating in interdepartmental meetings and projects. Recently, Jesus embarked on a new challenge in a leadership role as a Team Lead for the Manufacturing Department. As a member of Kite, Jesus is excited to be part of the pioneering field of cell therapy and looks forward to continuing working on our mission to cure cancer.
