Mirna Hessels | YIM representative & Market Acces Manager

After her graduation Pharmacy in Groningen, Mirna has started working as a community pharmacist within outpatient hospital and community pharmacies. After her post-pharmacy specialization, two years of being a board member of the Dutch Young Pharmacist Association she decided to study business in her free time at the Rotterdam School of Management. The line towards working as a market access manager was a different one compared to many others. Via a network borrel she spoke with someone from Abbvie, this person sparked her interest to for working as a Market Access Manager. And now she is here, in the name of the Young Innovators of Medicine (YIM), the youth department of the VIG, enthusiast to tell you how it is to work within the Pharmaceutical Industry. If you have any questions, do not hesitate.

Gino Zandbergen | YIM representative & Sr. Product & Multichannel Manager

During his study Strategic Entrepreneurship at the Erasmus University Rotterdam Gino gained a growing interest in the development and implementation of digital innovations. Therefore he decided to work as a project manager at Repulic M!, a digital communications agency, with a worldwide scope, explicitly working with pharmaceutical companies. After 5 years and several positions, moving from operations to commercial & strategic positions, Gino decided that it was time to move on. In September 2020 he started at Bristol Myers Squibb in his current role, combining my multichannel & digital experience with (more traditional) product management within the Dutch Hematology business unit. Since 3 months he’s happily representing BMS at the YIM.
