Cinzia Silvestri believes that as every person is unique, our medicine should reflect that. She is a resilient and creative entrepreneur who brings real and inclusive innovation to society by applying her passion and knowledge in microelectronics.As the founder and CEO of Bi/ond, a deep-tech company, Cinzia leads a team that empowers diversity in biological studies through the engineering of microchips. Prior to establishing Bi/ond, she pursued her Ph.D. in microelectronics at the Technical University of Delft. During her academic journey, Cinzia recognized the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry, driving her mission to bring academia and industry closer together.Drawing upon her expertise and experiences, Cinzia built a diverse and multidisciplinary team to tackle the significant challenges in the Organ-on-Chip field. Her exceptional contributions have earned her recognition, including being named one of the 50 most inspiring women in Italy's technology sector in 2018, as well as being recognized among the top young talents in the Netherlands by Het Financieele Dagblad in 2022.
