Claartje Ypma is CEO and co-founder of Augmedit. A lawyer by training, she entered the MedTech world by founding a US subsidiary of a Dutch company in 2008 and successfully introduced a neurosurgical product to the US market upon FDA approval.. Back in the Netherlands she founded the Brain Technology Institute, where neurosurgical devices were co-developed together with academia and industry.  She is a team builder with leadership skills and has a natural ability to establish long term relationships with stakeholders. She led multiple funding- and subsidy rounds. In 2019 she co-founded Augmedit, realizing that Augmented Reality will lead to better patient outcomes and reduced costs by providing surgeons with improved 3D visualisation.
