Clémence Ross-Van Dorp | Board Member - FAST

Until the end of 2022, Clémence Ross-Van Dorp worked as an ambassador for the Action Program 'New Opportunities for Top Sector Life Sciences & Health' (LSH) on behalf of the Ministries of Economic Affairs and Climate and Public Health, Welfare and Sport. From 2019, together with the academy, the business community and all parties in the regional LSH clusters, she has committed herself to position the Netherlands firmly at the top of the world in the Life Sciences domain. Clémence is a Sinologist and an experienced administrator with an extensive background in government and the Life Sciences & Health domain. She is skilled in international relations, organizational development and healthcare. She is chair of the board of the Long Alliantie Nederland, member of the Supervisory Board of the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology and chair of the National Disaster Fund and was State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport from July 2002 to February 2007.

FAST is a centre of expertise and collaboration, commissioned by the Dutch government. The centre is initiated to foster faster, smarter, and sustainable development, production and access of new therapies for patients. It bundles and unlocks expertise and stimulates connectivity in the ecosystem. Opportunities and hurdles are identified, prioritized and subsequently tackled in an integrated manner, for example in use cases, experiments and pilot studies. FAST connects stakeholders who are actively involved in the process of innovative therapy development, such as researchers, patients, entrepreneurs, science parks and regulatory authorities.
