Jarno Drost is group leader at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology, Oncode Investigator and serves as Organoids Platform Lead within Oncode Accelerator. After receiving his PhD in the group of Reuven Agami (Netherlands Cancer Institute), he subsequently joined the lab of Hans Clevers (Hubrecht Institute) where he used organoid technology in combination with CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing to study multistep tumorigenesis. He received several awards, including the Bas Mulder Young Investigator Award from the Dutch Cancer Society, the ERC Starting and NWO-Vidi grants, and the AACR St. Baldrick’s career development award for emerging leaders in the field of pediatric oncology.
