Karla van Rooijen has been working in various management positions at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports for more than 10 years. She is currently director of Pharmaceutical Affairs & Medical Technology. Previously, she held various positions at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, including manager at the Directorate for Foreign Economic Relations.

Karla van Rooijen studied law at the University of Maastricht.
