They have assisted many life science clients in defining successful life cycle management strategies. These strategies are not only based on the traditional LCM options but also focus on late stage blocking rights based on clinical trial data. In view of this Barend and Mari are regularly involved in clinical trial design, due diligence (for example for investors, innovators, M&A), freedom-to-operate analyses and litigation. Barend has previous experience as COO and head of R&D of a Dutch Biotech firm and worked several years at an IP strategy consultancy firm. Mari has previously worked at Novartis Pharma in Switzerland and was responsible for litigation and assisted in various acquisitions and divestments.
