Tamara Hoveling | PhD Candidate, TU Delft

Tamara Hoveling is a Ph.D. candidate at TU Delft who specializes in circular medical device design. With a cum laude B.Sc. in ‘Engineering: Product Design’, she excelled at Philips, co-authoring papers on a user-friendly solution for ultrasound-guided vascular access. Following this achievement, Hoveling earned her Industrial Design M.Sc. at TU Eindhoven with honors, focusing on perinatal life support. This research resulted in a conference paper on simulating perinatal breathing and an international patent for a birth-assisting transfer device. Post-graduation, she smoothly transitioned into sustainable healthcare research, applying her healthcare innovation expertise to projects dedicated to advancing healthcare through more environmentally sustainable solutions.
