Tol specialises in transforming early-stage ideas into successful ventures. He has broad experience in the innovation, development, and launch of novel technologies and products. He (co-)founded a.o. DNage, Arcarios, Swan diagnostics, Gadeta, Enhanced Genomics and Cellpoint. He was trained as a molecular biologist with a PhD in epigenetics and gene-regulation (Erasmus MC) and after a post-doc at Stanford (Ca, US) working on signal transduction TT joined LSP (EQT), which was the start of transitioning from a scientific to more commercial/entrepreneurial carreer.  In his spare time, he can be found on a boat sailing, either cruising with his family or with a crew sailing offshore sea races.
