About Lena Dirkje Sialino | Inclusion and Diversity Policy Officer at NWO & PhD Researcher Health Sciences 

I am a passionate PhD researcher in health sciences with a background in biomedical sciences. My PhD research focusses on differences between men and women in healthy ageing, to better understand inequalities in health and aiming to decrease them in the future. Last June I started to combine my PhD research with a part time position as diversity and inclusion policy officer at the Dutch Research Council (NWO), to stimulate gender sensitive research. I am an active member of National Society of Gender & Health (START NVG&G), Young Soroptimists Amsterdam and co-founder of the platform Genderful Research World (www.genderfulresearchworld.com).
