Silvana Jirka, PhD, is an experienced scientist and a go-getter with over 20 years of laboratory experience. She started her career as a research technician in 2006 and managed to receive a PhD in July 2017, under the supervision of prof. Annemieke Aartsma-Rus at the human genetics department of the LUMC. Currently she is a scientist at the start-up company Ntrans Technologies B.V. Here she is directly involved in the laboratory research and the operational part of the company as well.
NTrans Technologies
NTrans Technologies was founded in November 2015 based on the iTOP intracellular delivery technology developed at the Hubrecht Institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences. Ntrans is developing the iTOP technology further for both research and clinical purposes as a method for the delivery of biologicals that is safe, non-toxic, highly efficient, and easy to use. Their mission is to translate the unique iTOP technology into revolutionary new therapies for the treatment of genetic diseases and cancer.
