Wen Koster helps people in knowledge-intensive environments protect focus, sharpen decision quality, and build sustainable performance that holds in real days. She earned an MSc in Medical Biology (Neurochemistry in Anxiety) and a PhD in Metabolic Health (TNO & Leiden University), and brings 10+ years of experience across the life sciences ecosystem—where complexity is the norm: regulated environments, cross-functional realities, and high-stakes stakeholder landscapes (including Gates Foundation–sponsored projects).
As a Hintsa Certified High-Performance Coach and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Certified Coach, Wen blends scientific depth with the human-centred Hintsa methodology trusted by Formula 1 and global leaders, alongside identity transition coaching—guided by a simple arc: Knowing → Doing → Living. Her work is practical and grounded: making behaviour change livable, so it becomes part of your daily rhythm.
Known for calm authority and systems thinking, Wen creates clear visual frameworks that make complexity workable—so progress doesn’t depend on willpower or self-discipline, but on positioning, structure, and consistency.
Outside of work, Wen is a nature person. She photographs and paints landscapes, and often returns to how plants grow—quietly, steadily, without force. She believes the best conversations happen slowly, with real presence.
Based in Leiden–Wassenaar–The Hague, Wen works with clients locally and globally.
At the heart of Amstara are three quiet forces:
Amstara is a homecoming for who you are becoming, it is built for people who refuse to choose between achievement and wellbeing—who want to grow through alignment, not pressure—so what’s shifting inside can become a life that’s ready to unfold.
Transferable Clarity: From Academic Strengths to Industry Value
When you move from academia to industry, it’s rarely your capability that drops, it’s the signal of value that changes. In academia, visibility is often measured through publications, grants, and citations. In industry, value becomes legible through impact, decisions, and delivery. This session helps you build a clear bridge between those worlds—without “starting over,” and without going into overdrive.
Using the Transferable Strengths Map (Strengths → Evidence → Translation), you’ll identify the strengths that naturally and consistently drive your best work, ground them in concrete evidence, and translate them into industry language that hiring managers and cross-functional teams recognize instantly. The focus is practical: showing value under constraints—time, uncertainty, limited resources, and complex stakeholders—and communicating it with calm clarity.
Who it’s for: You—if you’re a PhD/postdoc or early-career researcher exploring industry paths in life sciences/biotech (R&D, project/program, BD/VC, strategy/ops).
Outcomes:
1.You’ll leave with your personal Transferable Strengths Map, ready to use for your CV, interviews, and networking.
2.To support you beyond the room, you’ll receive two practical take-home resources:
We’ll close with a simple 21-day micro-action, so your next chapter feels not only true to who you are—but clearly aligned with who you are becoming.
