Arlène Derbaix | VP of R&D Strategy & Operations at Curevac
Arlène Derbaix is VP of R&D Strategy & Operations at CureVac, where she oversees clinical project management and portfolio strategy across the drug development lifecycle. She began her career at McKinsey & Company before moving into R&D and Finance roles at GSK, building deep expertise in protein-based vaccines and clinical trial operations from Phase 1 through Phase 3.
She holds a PhD in Finance from UCLouvain and Sorbonne Université. Arlène is also a board member of the McKinsey Belgium Alumni network, where she organizes events connecting professionals across industries. Her career reflects the very journey she'll share in this session: from strategy consulting to hands-on leadership in biotech innovation.
