Sander is the CEO and co-founder of ImmuneWatch, an immunoinformatics company specialising in T-cell receptor repertoire analysis. He founded the company in 2021 alongside leading immunologists and data scientists from the University of Antwerp and the Antwerp University Hospital (Belgium). Before stepping into entrepreneurship, Sander earned a PhD in Bioscience Engineering with a focus on microbial bioinformatics and held a postdoctoral fellowship in multi-omics analysis at EMBL Heidelberg. During his academic career, he received several awards, including winning the Davos Bitcoin Challenge, where he was the first to decode a bitcoin wallet embedded in synthetic DNA.
