Do you want to learn more about the companies out there in the Benelux? Are you curious which jobs you could pursue with your Life Sciences background? Then join this presentation to learn more about your potential career options and to get a bird’s-eye view of the Benelux Life Sciences sector!
The first part of this session will focus on the life sciences sector in the Netherlands with a small detour into Belgium. You will be given an overview of the types, sizes and locations of companies that are active here and some resources to learn more about them. The second part will go in depth on the different career paths that you could pursue in Life Sciences. Per category the general aspects, skills needed and career prospects will be discussed.

Remco Jongkind's aim is to help people move their careers forward. He does this by hosting several presentations on behalf of Hyphen Projects, the organizer of the BCF Career Event. Remco works as a lecturer, bachelor thesis coordinator and project leader at the faculty of medicine of the University of Amsterdam. His background is in Biochemistry (Amsterdam University College) and Pharmacology (University of Oxford). His Life Science background allows him to relate to the problems faced by young professionals in finding their ideal career paths. During his career he especially enjoyed helping others and teaching, e.g at the University of Amsterdam, Hyphen Projects and University of Oxford.
