Nazma Ilahibaks, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow in Experimental Cardiology at UMC Utrecht and founder of JAMA Tx, a biotech initiative developing extracellular vesicle-based delivery systems for advanced genetic medicines. Her career combines academic research, translational science, entrepreneurship, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Through her work, she has learned how important practical skills, initiative, communication, and persistence are in building a career in life sciences. Nazma is passionate about helping young professionals understand how the sector works, how to find opportunities, and how different educational backgrounds can contribute to medical innovation.
