PharmaNL Infrastructure: Showcasing 5 recently awarded SDI projects and inspiring new ideas for the 2026 subsidy call

8 October 2026 | 10:45 – 12:00

PharmaNL is an initiative by and for the Dutch pharmaceutical sector.

It is a national public-private consortium consisting of Leiden University, Campus Groningen, Pivot Park, in close collaboration with FAST (Centre for Future Affordable Sustainable Therapy Development).

PharmaNL is made possible by the investments of the partners and a grant from the National Growth Fund.

PharmaNL aims to strengthen the pharmaceutical value chain within the Netherlands and address bottlenecks, specifically by:

  • Creating a shared infrastructure for the development, scaling, and production of innovative medicines in the Netherlands, for use by pharmaceutical start-ups, scale-ups, and academic research groups. (program line 1)
  • Enhancing the pharmaceutical education offerings with international appeal and attractiveness. (program line 2)

Within the framework of Program Line 1, several projects have been launched as part of the PharmaNL Shared Development Infrastructure (SDI) Call 2025.

These projects are building and upgrading infrastructure that will accelerate the development, scale-up, and production of innovative medicines in the Netherlands.

At the DMDs, they will demonstrate how their projects have kicked off and how they translate science into entrepreneurship.

Join this session to learn how these PharmaNL projects are designed as shared infrastructures to provide access to a wide group of researchers from academia, spin-offs, scale-ups and large pharma/biotech.

By showcasing successful models and identifying remaining barriers, the session also aims to inspire others to apply for the PharmaNL call round in 2026.
