Since beginning of 2026, Floris is the Teamlead for the Lifesciences & MedTech Venture Development and Invest team at BOM. Here, he has been involved in a variety of LifeScience and MedTech businesses and supported 35+ equity investments up to €6M each in start-ups, scale-ups and investments funds in the LifeSciences field. He combines experience both from the inside in technical and business roles (Argen-X, Johnson & Johnson Medical and Catalyze), and from the outside guiding these in the board or as an investor. Aside his role at BOM, Floris participates in the selection committee for the Venture Challenge, and chairs the NWO Take-Off selection commission. Floris' investment portfolio consists of a.o. Crossfire Oncology, Citryll, Kivu and Synaffix which was acquired by Lonza in 2023 for EUR 160M.
