Presentation: Impact of the European Health Data Space regulation on research, policy and innovation
From 2029 onwards the EHDS regulation enters into force, allowing researchers to ask access to European health data via a single procedure. The EHDS is making a broad range of Health data available, giving a boost to research and innovation in the EC. Each EC-country is required to set up a Health Data Access Body, dealing with data access requests. Data users can navigate a European Health Data catalogue and can request access to data via a standardized procedure. In three months time the HDAB needs to make a decision if a data permit is granted. Once granted a data holders needs to make health data available for research, innovation and policy with three months. In this presentation more details on the impact of the EHDS on data holders, data users and citizens will be given.
