Mike de Leeuw is an entrepreneur/investor in the polymer-enabled drug- and cell-delivery field for 19 years, starting-up DSM BioMedical (2004) and InGell Labs (2010), turning around BetaCell (2013), Hy2Care (2017) and MyLife Technologies (2020), and now building his new venture OncoLize since 2023.

With his teams he initiated and raised over €130 Mln in public and private funding in this niche technology of polymer enabled drug- and cell-delivery.

Before that, Mike worked as business-, innovation-, and general manager for 17 years with DSM-Pharma, DSM-China, SHELL and UniLever, and he holds degrees in Molecular Biology/ Tumor Virology (University of Leiden) and Business Administration (Rotterdam School of Management,  Institute of Management Development - Lausanne).

Based on personal experience with friends and family, Mike has a special interest in making cancer therapies more bearable for both patients and their loved ones. Based on his extensive experiences in China, India and Indonesia, his drive extends to ensuring Triple A products: Affordable and Accessible for All.

In his private time, he enjoys competitive dinghy sailing, composing and recording music and travelling with his family to remote areas in SE-Asia.
