Luc Starmans | Partner | Brightlands Venture Partners

Luc is partner at BVP where he focusses on MedTech, HealthTech and Life Sciences. He currently serves on the boards of Aliform, Hy2Care, PL Bioscience and Vivalyx. Luc has broad experience in healthcare and life sciences. Prior to joining BVP, Luc spent seven years as strategy consultant in the health and life sciences practice of KPMG.
Luc holds a MSc and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and performed his academic research in the field of medical imaging at Philips Research (Eindhoven) and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (Baltimore, USA).

We believe that start-ups have a crucial role to play in future-proofing the healthcare, chemical and agricultural industries. Our mission is to support such start-ups by providing them with access to growth capital, our deep sector expertise, and decades of investment experience, as well as our vast network.

Within the BVP Health vertical, we focus on MedTech, HealthTech and Life Sciences. Our initial ticket is typically between 500k-2M mln. in the Seed or Series A stage, and we reserve a significant amount of our fund for follow-on investments.
