Ellen Smit | Managing Director, Rotterdam Square

Ellen Smit is Managing Director of Rotterdam Square, the organization that connects the Life Sciences & Health ecosystem in the Rotterdam Region. After studying Economics at the Free University Amsterdam, she started her career working as a consultant at two engineering firms. She developed her experience in Life Sciences & Health sector when she moved to the municipality of Leiden and became Account Manager for Leiden Bio Science Park. In 2006 she joined Leiden Bio Science Park foundation, the campus organization of Leiden Bio Science Park. In her role as Senior Account Manager she was amongst other things focused on acquisition, building the ecosystem and park management.
