Every year, millions of women suffer from Urinary Tract Infections. It is the most prevalent bacterial infection globally. Despite its serious consequences such as  severe pain, loss of productivity, increased exposure to antibiotics, renal failure and even sepsis, diagnosis is slow and inadequate. Due to the lack of diagnostic data at the point of care, 'blind' or delayed prescription leads to prolonged suffering, incorrect treatment and complications. Healthcare professionals have 10 minutes with their patient in which they need to make a decision, otherwise the patient is out the door and follow-ups are required. In stead of having to wait for days, and spending precious time on follow-ups, in under 10 minutes Nostics provides the diagnostic data needed to diagnose accurately and treat effectively. The solution Nostics is developing is a 1-step process using a cartridge and small instrument, initially applied to UTIs, and expandable to other indications. The Core team consists out of the founders Rochelle Niemeijer (CSO) and Eva Rennen (COO), combined with experienced Medtech CEO Jeroen Nieuwenhuis and AI leader Bob de Vos. The motivated team of 25 people are experts in microbiology, nanobiology, chemistry, physics, machine learning, quality management and commercialisation.
