Predictive Digital Biomarkers from Routine Biopsy to Personalize Treatment in Women’s Cancers (Breast & Ovarian)
Women’s cancers still face a critical gap: we often lack
early, scalable ways to predict which patient will benefit from a given
therapy—leading to avoidable toxicity, delayed effective care, and expensive
trial inefficiency. 4D Path Inc. has built QPOR™ (Q-Plasia OncoReader™), a
physics-informed digital biology platform that generates interpretable,
reproducible predictive biomarkers directly from routine H&E biopsy slides,
without requiring extra tissue, sequencing, or specialized assays.QPOR computes
patient-specific phenotypic measures of tumor/immune dynamics and cell-cycle
deregulation from baseline biopsy images and returns structured, API-ready
reports for clinical-trial enrichment and decision support workflows. We have
demonstrated multi-study predictive performance, including blinded Phase II
validation in breast cancer settings and a recent blinded biopharma validation
in metastatic ovarian cancer. The platform is cloud-native and CPU-optimized
for cost-efficient scale and integration into existing pathology and CRO
workflows. It is supported by a robust patent portfolio (issued and pending)
and has received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation in breast cancer,
reinforcing a clear translational pathway toward clinical adoption.Core team:
Tathagata Dasgupta, PhD (Founder/President/CTO) and Satabhisa Mukhopadhyay, PhD
(Founder/CSO), supported by a world-class Scientific Advisory Board spanning
oncology and pathology leadership—including KOLs from major academic cancer
centers and global health organizations (e.g., senior leaders affiliated with
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Yale Cancer Center, and the World Health
Organization).
