Presentation Title: How to prepare 2023 to reach your professional AND your personal objectives.

December is the ideal time of the year to reflect on the past year and to prepare the coming one. We propose you a great workshop to allow to frame your reflexion to make sure that you make the most of 2023, both professionally and personally!

Arlène Derbaix and Jessica thiry are combining more than 15 years of experience respectiviely in corporate Management and in Psychology.

Jessica Thiry owns a Master in Business and Administration as well as a Master in Psychology. She is working in a metal health association and she also owns her private practice.Arlène Derbaix owns a PhD in Finance. After 5 years in business consulting, she joins GSK 12 years ago. After different positions in PMO, Pflio Director, Finance, CoS, etc., she now leads a team in the clinical operations space to promote and develop the Performance Management Culture.

At Bliss, our mission is to help women to take on career opportunities without scarifying their personal priorities.

And we do that by providing coaching programs or working with companies which want to keep their female workforce engage.

Frans van Loef is a former CEO, who now helps both teams and individual team members successfully develop in the areas of strategy realization, leadership development and effective collaboration within organizations. He brings to light what we so often take for granted and gives the tools to regain some control of our most precious resource: talent. Dozens of teams uncovered and recognized everyone's unique top talents. He works with various international organizations within Pharma and Biotech, IT, Professional Services and IT. Currently for, among others, MSD Biotech, Organon, Alnylam, MSD Animal health and most recently for Amgen and Hookipa.

Marlinde Schoonbeek | PhD Candidate, Prinses Máxima Centrum voor kinderoncologie

Marlinde Schoonbeek finished her Master’s program Cancer Stem cells and Developmental biology at Utrecht University (Cum Laude). Next to her studies, she enjoyed various extra-curricular activities. As an example, she was member of the the Research and Education Council of the UMCU and chair of the Student Council. Next to this, she participated in various committees and student assistant projects for the Bachelor’s program Biomedical Sciences.
She just started her career as education developer for the Bachelor’s program Biomedical Sciences in which she focusses on Data Science as well as career orientation, student wellbeing and professional skills. She for example develops and coordinates a student mentoring program to enhance inclusion and engagement of first year students.
However, she is very passioned for research and plans to do a PhD in the future. She finds great passion in genomics, (pediatric) cancer research and novel techniques as CRISPR/Cas. Her colleagues call her pro-active, enthusiastic, and innovative.
