TOPX Network is thrilled to announce a unique Mentor-Mentee Matchmaking Event about Transitioning from Academia to Industry in collaboration with Catalyze. Join us on 6 February 2025 at Catalyze HQ in Amsterdam for an inspiring afternoon session where ambitious minds from academia meet industry experts to gain insights, and explore professional guidance tailored to their field.

In this one-of-a-kind session, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with experts from various industry sectors, facilitating transitions from academia to the business world. The session will begin with an exclusive masterclass by the CEO of Catalyze Marlene Végh and her colleagues, sharing valuable insights and strategies from Catalyze's expertise in consultancy. Following the presentations, the mentor-mentee matchmaking will kick off, helping attendees find mentors that match their career aspirations. Detailed programme overview will follow soon.

There are limited spots available for 20 mentees and 10 mentors. If you'd like to gain valuable insights and guidance as a mentee, apply by January 16, 2025.

Who Should Attend?

This program is designed for those transitioning from academia to the industry. Target fields include:

• Research & Development (R&D)
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QC/QA)
• Sales or Business Development (BD)
• Consultancy
• Clinical Research / Regulatory
• Project or Programme Management

How to Apply?

1. Choose Your Role:

• Potential Mentor: Guide and advise emerging professionals and share industry insights. If you are interested in this role, please submit your application before 20 December.
• Potential Mentee: Receive tailored guidance and mentorship for your transition from academia. If you are interested in being a mentee, please submit your application before 16 January 2025.

2. Submit Your Application:

• Complete the application form, sharing your details, areas of expertise, and career interests via the below registration form.

3. Selection Process:

• Our team will review applications and select participants based on alignment and program goals.

4. Attend the Session:
• Selected participants will receive confirmation and details for the event.

5. Ongoing Mentorship Meetings:
• If a match is made between a mentor and mentee at the event on 6 February, they will meet four times from February to June 2025 to provide continuous support and guidance.

Note: Attendance on February 6 is mandatory for program entry.
