Aleksandra Majkic - How to Break Gender Bias for Inclusive Workplace?

If you have a brain, you have bias. In this keynote, you will learn how unconscious bias occurs in our brain and how it affects our behaviour, perception, and decision-making process. In the workplace, when our talents are unconsciously excluded due to various biases, we can feel that our contributions are not considered valuable enough. Or vice versa, we might overlook our colleagues’ competencies and potential. During this keynote, we will explain the three most common gender biases that occur in the workplace: Likeability bias, Performance bias, and Maternal/Parental bias. I will end the session with practical action steps to break the bias and ask the audience to pledge to one to start practicing without delay.
