Devlina is a science enthusiast and a PhD researcher at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). Her doctoral research focused on developing a universal biomedical coating strategy for biomaterial surfaces, which has the potential to revolutionize the biomedical coatings industry, and has also navigated the road toward the clinical translation of these innovative biomedical coatings.

Devlina is currently in a transitional phase in her career. She is motivated by her passion for bridging the gap between research and valorization and is dedicated to driving impactful innovations within the life science and health tech industry to improve patient lives.

Besides pursuing her PhD, she has served as a board member for Summer Schools, various PhD associations, and the PhD Council at the UMCG. In her home country, India, she was closely associated with NGOs such as 'Ed for All,' embracing the motto 'Education for All.' She was also an active member of the national NGO Uddeshya, which aimed at 'Empowering Youth, Fuelling Change.' As part of Uddeshya, she worked as a peer educator at the university, conducting awareness programs on substance abuse and sexual abuse.

In her role as a Junior Ambassador for the TOPX network, she is excited to connect with and support other women professionals in the industry.
