Joost Uitdehaag | Head of Research | ATB Therapeutics

As Head of Research at ATB Therapeutics, Joost leads the discovery pipleline of novel ATBodies. An accomplished drug discovery leader with experience spanning biotech and large pharmaceutical companies, he began his career in academia before moving into industry, where he has contributed to the discovery of ADCs, small molecules, and antibodies. He has worked at biotechnology companies including LAVA Therapeutics and Crossfire Oncology, as well as major pharmaceutical companies such as AstraZeneca and MSD. Several of his programs have advanced into clinical development, including the TTK inhibitor BAL-0891. During his time at MSD, he contributed to the early discovery of the blockbuster medicines acalabrutinib and pembrolizumab. Joost has co-authored more than 130 scientific publications (h-index 34) and is an inventor on eight patents.
