Antibodies Unleashed: The career path of a Curious Scientist at Genmab

28 November 2024 - Ghent ICC

Bas Rosier

Bas Rosier | Scientist, Functional Characterization and Bioassays | Genmab

I started at Genmab as Scientist in the Functional Characterization and Bioassays group in 2022. The core expertise of this team is the development of bioassays for characterization and release of Genmab’s innovative antibody therapeutics for the treatment of cancer and other serious diseases.

I am a curious and interdisciplinary scientist, not scared to dive deep and solve any challenging puzzle I encounter. I obtained my PhD at Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands) in the field of chemical biology, investigating protein organization and protein-protein interactions using a combination of biochemistry and DNA nanotechnology. As a postdoctoral researcher I became an antibody engineer and developed antibody-based bioluminescent immunoassays for use at the point of care.
