Haifen Hu is the founder and owner of Hyphen Projects and BCF Courses, an entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in life sciences. With a background in Bioprocess Technology from Wageningen University, she began her career as a project manager at BioPartner before launching her own company at age 28. Through Hyphen Projects, Haifen has launched and led several impactful initiatives, including the BCF Career Event—the largest life sciences career fair in the Benelux—Innovation for Health, the BioBusiness Summer School, and TOPX Network, which she founded in 2020 as a platform for connecting and supporting ambitious women in life sciences. She also co-founded the recruitment company PRIMER BioBusiness in 2016 and sold it in 2018. Since 2024 she is the new publisher of the magazine BiotechNEWS & Life Sciences. As an introverted entrepreneur, she has built a career centered on connection, collaboration, and communication. In her presentation she is committed to showing you that you don’t have to be outgoing to make a difference.
