The challenges of manufacturing medicines at industrial scale.

30 May 2024 - Utrecht

On any particular day in Oss, Organon is manufacturing and packaging 10 million tablets, sterile vials and contraceptive rings and implants. It’s a huge challenge to ensure that all these medicines are effective and safe to use for the patient. More than a thousand colleagues with a variety of backgrounds ensure that all operations run smoothly, the high-tech machines are qualified and maintained, and the products are tested in our modern laboratories.

In this presentation, Anton Hennink will give you a glimpse of all challenges involved in manufacturing, packaging and testing medicines at an industrial scale, and in the diversity of possible careers for anybody with an interest in life sciences.
