The Young Innovators of Medicine (YIM) is the young professional branch of the Association of Innovative Medicine. YIM supports various activities for students and young professionals interested in working within the pharmaceutical industry. Providing interactive presentations for students is just one of the activities YIM supports and during this presentation we hope to provide a comprehensive overview of the career opportunities within the innovative pharmaceutical industry in The Netherlands. Various organizational sections and job profiles will be explained and we aim to highlight the required skills, career opportunities and ways to start your career within this broad innovative sector. Gino Zandbergen, MSc
‘During my study Strategic Entrepreneurship at the Erasmus University Rotterdam I gained a growing interest in the development and implementation of digital innovations. Therefore I decided to work as a project manager at Repulic M!, a digital communications agency, with a worldwide scope, explicitly working with pharmaceutical companies. After 5 years and several positions, moving from operations to commercial & strategic positions, I decided that it was time for me to move on. In September 2020 I started at Bristol Myers Squibb combining my multichannel & digital experience with (more traditional) product management within Hematology. In my current role I’m responsible for the omnichannel / digital strategy within Oncology & Hematology in the Netherlands. Since June 2020 I’m happily representing BMS at the YIM.’
