Approxima is a MedTech startup based in Milan, Italy founded in 2020 as a University spin-off.
Approxima is developing a percutaneous tricuspid valve repair system based on a ventricular reshaping approach to treat patients with tricuspid regurgitation (TR) (>5B€ market). This approach uniquely addresses the root cause of TR, the right ventricular dilation, while maintaining all bailout options feasible and ensuring an efficient and straightforward implantation procedure. The technology is patented in strategic geographies, and is supported by robust in-vivo feasibility, efficacy, and safety chronic data.
Looking ahead, Approxima’s key milestones include initiating clinical studies in EU and the US leading to regulatory approvals as Class III implantable cardiovascular device.
