Marty Groen in 't Woud | Chief Business Officer | Arega Medical Nederland

In his role as Chief Business Officer, Marty is responsible for new business development and expanding current business through identifying, establishing and foster partnerships for development, manufacturing, commercialization of Arega Medical’s portfolio of repurposed products.

Marty holds an MBA from Webster University, Kansas, and he worked in leading roles for several pharmaceutical companies prior to joining Arega Medical in 2020. During his career in the pharmaceutical industry, Marty has held various senior and leadership positions in strategic marketing, sales, and business development.

Arega Medical is a leading Dutch R&D healthcare company focused on repurposed drug development.

Drug repurposing, i.e. developing new therapeutic uses for well-known genericized molecules, has the potential to reduce the risk of failure in drug development, shorten time to market and reduce development costs accordingly.

Arega Medical ‘s mission is to develop repurposed drugs for untreatable diseases and to make these medicines broadly available for patients at socially responsible pricing.

Arega Medical has a full pipeline of late stage projects in 5 highly prevalent conditions with high unmet needs, all protected by new IP and is currently seeking seed funds to continue its start-up activities.
