Saskia Neubacher | CEO & Co-Founder | Incircular

Dr. Saskia Neubacher is CEO and co-founder of Incircular. As a chemist by training, she used chemical biology tools to study the inhibition of miRNA maturation at the Humboldt University Berlin. Saskia then took a role as Associate Editor at Wiley-VCH, where she helped build their first fully open-access journal, ChemistryOpen. Returning to the bench, she became engaged in the analysis of protein-RNA interactions as a project leader at TU Dortmund. This work was the entry point to her involvement in the development of a protein stabilization technology, later called INCYPRO, at the VU University Amsterdam. Saskia believes in the potential of the INCYPRO technology and together with her colleagues founded Incircular, where she continued with the validation and secured a total of 3 Mio. € in funding.

Incircular

Incircular is a pioneering biotech company specialized in the development of highly stabilized proteins and protein complexes using its proprietary INCYPRO technology. This advanced protein engineering platform reinforces the active protein structure, thereby preventing protein unfolding and aggregation. This provides proteins with prolonged activity and extended half-life. Incircular is currently running two therapeutic protein programs, primarily focusing on the development of a superior product with increased homogeneity and extended half-life for the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

In addition, Incircular is providing its proprietary technology in the form of partnerships with the pharmaceutical industry and biotech companies. Located in Amsterdam, Incircular was founded as a university spin-off in 2021. The team comprises the scientific co-inventors and -founders, alongside experienced business developers with more than 50 years of industrial experience and strategic partnering.
