Jos brings over 30 years of experience and proven success in the Life Sciences industry, excelling in entrepreneurship, marketing strategy, fundraising and business management. Before becoming an entrepreneur in 2012, he was a member of the executive management teams at CERUS Europe BV (NASDAQ: CERS) and Cryo-Save NV (Euronext: CRYO) and Global Marketing Director at Organon NV. He successfully commercialized new pharmaceutical, diagnostic and other Life Sciences products. Jos obtained an MBA at the New York Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Medical Biology at the University of Groningen.

In the last six years before joining Surfix Diagnostics in August 2023, he founded and led ENPICOM, a biomedical software company. Under his leadership, ENPICOM raised three consecutive investment rounds, got eight subsidy and two innovation loan applications granted, grew the team to over 40 members, professionalized all departments, obtained an ISO27001 certification, identified an excellent product-market fit for its ImmunoGenomiX (IGX) SaaS platform in Antibody Discovery and generated recurring revenues from CRO’s and biotech SMEs to top 25 big pharmaceutical companies.
