Warner Philips | Managing Partner, Rubio Impact Ventures

Warner has been in venture capital and startups for over 25 years: he started as a VC in ’96, then became co-founder at Tendris, which launched a series of successful cleantech start-ups in ’02-’12. In ’07 Warner moved to San Francisco, USA, to grow the USA businesses. In 2012 Warner exited Tendris and continued as an impact angel investor in Silicon Valley in companies such as NestLyftChange.org and Solar Mosaic. Warner moved back to Amsterdam in 2015 to help launch Rubio which has grown into an impact platform with €150m AUM, 2 funds, 31 investments. At Rubio, Warner is responsible for investments in SamaOLIOSkinVisionGoodUpLingvist and SkillLab. Outside of Rubio, Warner is on the VC committee for the Netherlands Venture Capital Association and a venture advisor to FMO, the Netherlands foreign development bank.
