16:40 - 17:20
This closing plenary brings together leading voices from across the health innovation ecosystem to explore one of the sector’s most critical challenges: translating scientific discovery into real-world patient impact. From early-stage ideas and intellectual property development to regulatory approval, investment, and clinical adoption, the journey from patent to patient remains complex and often fragmented. This panel will reflect on where gaps persist and how stronger collaboration across science, industry, regulation, and finance can accelerate the path to meaningful healthcare innovation.
Moderated by Koenraad Wiedhaup (Leyden Labs) and Eleanor Price (Thuja Capital), the discussion will feature perspectives from leaders spanning biotech, regulatory science, strategy, and innovation policy. Panelists Conny Helder (Chair of the Board of FAST), Tim Knotnerus (CEO at Agomab), Martine van Vugt (Chief Strategy Officer at Genmab), Ton Logtenberg (CEO at Gyes) and Marjon Pasmooij (Head of Science Department at CBG-MEB) will share insights from their respective roles on overcoming development bottlenecks, aligning stakeholder priorities, and fostering ecosystems that support sustainable and scalable innovation. The session will close the conference by highlighting actionable strategies to better connect discovery, development, and delivery – ultimately ensuring that breakthrough ideas reach the patients who need them most.
