Elise Hovingh is a Senior R&D Manager in the bacterial vaccines department at Johnson & Johnson in Leiden, with extensive experience leading teams to successful declaration of new molecular entities. Currently, she dedicates 50% of her time to the Medical Affairs Immunology team as a Medical Field Advisor for Gastroenterology at J&J in Breda, expanding her expertise from discovery to market launch. Additionally, Elise serves as the Inclusion Lead for all seven J&J entities in the Netherlands, demonstrating her commitment to fostering a culture and sense of belonging.Elise holds a PhD in Infection & Immunity from the University of Utrecht. In 2020, after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada, she returned to the Netherlands and joined J&J as a Science and Business Fellow—an esteemed leadership program designed for PhD scientists.
