Kim Notten is a urogynaecologist at the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen. She dedicates her career to improving the lives of patients with pelvic floor disorders. Together with her team, her research focuses on pelvic floor anatomy, imaging and optimizing treatment for pelvic floor disorders. Kim is also passionate about medical innovation empowering women, and business.

More than half of women over the age of 40 suffer from pelvic organ prolapse. Treatment options include surgery (recurrence rate of 30%) and conservative pessary treatment (discontinuation rate of 50%). Due to the high need for improved conservative treatment options, Kim co-initiated the development of a new medical device (pessary) for women with pelvic organ prolapse.
