Dr. Annemiek van Rensen works at INVOLV (previously PGOsupport), a centre of expertise for patient organisations and their partners in research and health care. Her area of expertise is patient involvement in health care research and medicine development. In 2018, partly on her initiative, EUPATI, the European education on therapeutic innovation, for patient advocates, was adapted for the Dutch situation to EUPATI NL. From 2015-2022, Annemiek was a member of the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB-CBG). On behalf of the MEB-CBG, she joined the CIOMS Working Group XI for Patient Involvement in the development, regulation and safe use of medicines (publication in 2022). Since 2023, she is a board member of FAST, Centre for Future Affordable and Sustainable Therapy Development. Annemiek holds a PhD in Biopharmaceutical Sciences and Immunology from Utrecht University.
