9 October 2025 | 09:15 - 10:30
This parallel session is dedicated to advancements in academic drug manufacturing and will cover three key areas of innovation. The first presentation will address how 3D-printing technology can substantially enlarge personalized treatment options, since it allows for flexible and tuneable drug compounding. The second presentation will explore point-of-care cell therapy and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) manufacturing, highlighting their role in personalized medicine. The final presentation will discuss innovations in manufacturing and early-phase clinical research of infectious challenge agents, work bridging pharmaceutical development with public health impact. This session aims to provide valuable insights into the future of point-of-care and personalised drug manufacturing, with the ultimate goal to bring this exciting new technologies as soon as possible to the benefit of patients! The session is closed with two pitches from selected abstracts.
