Marinus Bouma studied chemistry at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and obtained a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from University of Paris-Sud.

For the past 15 years, he has worked in early drug development, including medicinal chemistry and scale up of small molecules, in scientific, commercial, and management roles. He currently serves as a Business Developer in the Drug Substance Business Unit at Ofichem, a family-owned CDMO headquartered in Ter Apel, the Netherlands.

In this role, Marinus works with early-stage start-ups, biotechs, and pharmaceutical companies, supporting projects from early preclinical development through clinical stages and beyond.
