Nienke is a consultant at boutique consultancy SiRM. During her studies, she developed herself in various areas during a bachelor's degree in Clinical Technology combined with a minor in Health Law. After a gap year at a pharmaceutical company, she followed up her bachelor's degree with a master's degree in Complex Systems Engineering and Management at TU Delft. At SiRM, Nienke has worked on a multitude of projects regarding drugs and drug policies. She was part of the team evaluating the geneesmiddelenvisie of the Ministry of Health and mapped the amount of drugs developed since 1995 for conditions with a high disease burden in the Netherlands, also commissioned by the Ministry. Nienke contributed to a study for the Dutch Healthcare Insitute regarding policy options against evergreening. More recently she was involved in a study commisioned by FAST and the Ministry of Health into academia-driven drug development.
