Nanoworx was founded in late 2024 to allow university groups, start-ups, as well as smaller and larger pharmaceutical companies to have access to nano-medicine expertise and infrastructure without having to make large upfront investments in equipment and staff. Set-up within the national growth fund program PharmaNL and with a lot of support from the TU/e, PivotPark, and ZonMW, Nanoworx has established a fully operational and tested lab to automatically generate and screen nanomedicine libraries. Such library of formulations can be produced  in a fraction of the time and with great reproducibility compared to conventional techniques. The techniques employed by Nanoworx are fully scalable; from small volume (400 µL) up to large productions (L’s) the same techniques are being deployed.

During the presentation the journey from idea to a fully operational company will be described. Furthermore, a brief overview of the services Nanoworx provides will be given showing both technical and societal benefits (repeatability, improved quality, scalability, reduced development time) as well as potential economic benefits (lower cost, better risk mitigation, reduced time to market).
